He has learned from watching the shows that the Transformers live in Detroit, Michigan, yet he is always disappointed that he doesn't get to actually see any Transformers when we visit MI! If there's any place that should have a Transformers theme park, Detroit would be the place!

Michigan has large dollar contracts that are let out to mow the grass that grows along the right-of-way and they also have thousands of people housed in the prison system. Take a few moments and match the problem with the already paid for fix and let the prisoners do the grass cutting work. Besides providing a needed service, it would allow those who would think of committing a criminal act to see prisoners working off their time and it might help deter them.

I see all these abandoned manufacturing, commercial buildings that plauge our state. They should give the owners six months to bring the property up to code or they will use eminent domain and auction the property off for one doller for commercial purposes. These corporations as part of the one doller sale will have six months to bring propety up to code and have a viable plan for building. This will get people working on demolition of the old buildings as well as the well needed start of clean up from the last century of prospierity. The more we clean up the more people will want to come and be a part of our future. Its a win win! We can clean up, rebuild and start creating new jobs at the same time!!!!

mike - Sunday, November 08, 2009   decriminalize personal use Rate this idea:   Current Rating: 3.1 (174 votes cast) decriminalize personal use of cannabis, this would reduce the amount of people in our prisons and jails who are there for non violent crimes, the money that could be saved from having to jail these non violent offenders could be spent elsewhere, our police officers could concentrate on more serious crimes.
